BLUESHIFT I project DEBUTS WITH ANDREW LEVITAS: METALWORK PLAYGROUND –WYNWOOD ART DISTRICT

Art aficionados participating in Wynwood Art Walk on Saturday, May 9 and guest / attendees of Maison + Objet-America’s , another first to be located in the Miami Beach Convention Center from May 12-15 are invited to indulge their senses with a visit to BLUESHIFT I project at 175 NW 25th Street, Miami, FL 33127. Commemorating the arrival of Maison + Objet, Paris and Asia’s venerated multi-disciplined show s reserved for “professionals dedicated to lifestyle , decoration and design”, BLUESHIFT will host to additional ‘open houses’ Thursday and Friday May 14 and 15 from 1-9 pm, and by appointment. BLUESHIFT I project currently features Andrew Levitas, a thrice gifted metallurgist, archivist of photographs on metal with subject matter that includes endangered indigenous peoples. His series of METALWORK PLAYGROUND ‘where metal meets mirth’ is a panoply of life size recreational equipment embellished with original photos of ferocious lions made for the pleasure of adult children everywhere. With curator, entrepreneur and developer Eduardo Burillo at the helm, BLUESHIFT I project celebrated its world class debut with a four course fine dining experience created by Chef Brad Gilgore (of the soon to open ‘Alter Restaurant’ and an alumni of J&G Grill Regis Bal Harbour)and Antoine Lecas with an inspired take on fresh fresh fish and locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.
Perfectly timed, BLUESHIFT I project serves as a defining entry into the downtown Miami’s regentrified art landscape. The Wynwood Art District is being touted , “as the Eastern Seaboard’s ‘au fait and must see destination to indulge the senses, ” says gracious European beauty, Anita Funtek, Founder of the Miami New Construction Show, October 22-25, Miami Beach Convention Center.
The BLUESHIFT I Project Open Houses on May 9, 14 and 15 will treat guests to signature cocktails by Jucy Lu, fashioned from sumptuous tropical fruit elixirs. Gifts by Body Sculpture Centers of Florida, Elite Med Spa and the all natural body, Hair and Skin Nayked Botanicals will be raffled.

BLUESHIFT I projects and their two galleries are shoring up to become permanent, cultural lightening rods to channel the spark and sizzle of Wynwood.
